Sekolah Seri Suria is nestled amongst the lush greenery of the 13th mile of the Hulu Langat country road. It is within 10-15 minutes drive of Ampang, Cheras, Sg Long and Kajang. Situated to the south-east of Kuala Lumpur, it only takes about 30 minutes drive to reach the city.

Levels of study range from primary to secondary [up to Malaysian O-level]

It also caters for pre-school ages of 4 to 6 years old [CEC R.E.A.L Kids]

Follows the govt curriculum guidelines for Primary [KBSR] and Secondary [KBSM]

Five-day week starting from 8:30 am to 3:45 pm

2-semesters system with a short break within each semester [the same with the government school calendar]

Offering 3 public school examinations, viz: - UPSR [Primary Year 6] - PMR [Lower Certificate of Education: in Secondary Year 3] - SPM [Malaysian Certificate of Education]

Individual attention is ensured with 26 students per class

The school is ISO accredited and has the permit to enrol foreign students

History

The school was started by three young engineers who wanted to share their passion and vision of providing quality education at affordable price. They truly believe in an education that is relevent and life transforming. On this simple ground, Sekolah Sang Suria [old name] was born.

Year	Overview
1986 January	The school started in a rented bungalow in Taman Cuepacs. There were 40 students attending pre-school, primary and secondary sections. By the seventh year, [1992], the school expanded to fill up 2 neighbouring bungalows. Meanwhile, the company had purchased a 9 acre land and construction was at its final phases of completion.
1992 December	Relocation to the newly completed [Block B] school and the new academic session started in December that year. [For the 1993 academic session, the Government advanced it to start in December 1992, instead of January 1993. However, this change was discontinued two years later]
1996 January	Block A opened to house the Front Office & Administrative Office, the Primary section, CEC, Library, Canteen and a Gymnasium. Block B housed the Secondary section and various facilities. As Education Ventures grew, it was necessary to corporatise its operation. The Vision & Mission statements were adopted in 1997. Strategic planning really focused the group's direction towards its goal. It was necessary to change the old name of Sekolah Sang Suria to Sekolah Seri Suria when the setting up of the 2nd school was at hand.
2001 June	The opening of Block C further expanded Seri Suria with more classrooms and facilities for the secondary section. This block brings the capacity of the school to 1,350.
2002	The school was awarded the ISO 9001-2000 alongside its sister-school, Sekolah Seri Cahaya, CEC centres operation and the Head Office operations. As a matter of fact, CEC was entered into the Malaysian Book of Records as the 1st Kindergarten in Malaysia to be awarded the ISO certification.
2003	2003 was truly a year of awards - The Ministry of Education presented the school with the Academic Excellence Award [2002/2003] - NAPEI (National Associate of Private Educational Institutions) awarded Seri Suria with the Academic Exellence Award [2002/2003]

Mrs Mano, as she prefers to be addressed, started her career teaching English at the secondary level. In 1972, she was transferred to Selangor where she held positions as teacher, Supervisor and Senior Assistant [Secondary]. In 1989, she was seconded by the PPD to be a Teachers' Trainer in English.

In 1994, Mrs Mano joined Sek Seri Suria as the Sr Assistant of the primary school. She was promoted to be the Senior Principal of the school in 1997. Her vast experience in the education field has brought Seri Suria to greater heights, in realizing the dreams of the founders.

Ms Lee Seow Ping started with a basic degree in Business Administration. She soon discovered that her passion is in children. Her interest and devotion in the field of child psychology and development have led her to further her studies in the field of education.

In 1992, she joined Sekolah Seri Suria as a teacher. Shortly afterwards, she was promoted to be the Supervisor of the Primary school, followed by Senior Assistant of the same in 2004. She believes that each individual can impact the world and she firmly holds on to her passion of helping children unleash the potential within them.

She is now the Principal of the Primary school, hence moving a step nearer to realising her passion of transforming lives.
